Frequently Asked Questions.

Is this a cult?

This begs the question: what's the difference between a cult and a religion? Many theologists believe the only difference is time.
However, we do not yet have tax-exempt status. So yes, we are technically a cult.
Despite this, The Church of Fyodor Dostoyevsky has been deemed 80% less evil than the Church of Latter-Day Saints and 90% less evil than the Church of Scientology.
Do with that what you'd like.

What do Fyodorists believe?

Fyodorism is hedged on the belief that in Season Five, Episode Eleven/Chapter 112 of Bungo Stray Dogs, Fyodor Dostoyevsky was not killed in the poisoning/impalement/explosion/crushed by building incident. Instead, he has survived and is continuing to plot from the shadows.
Along with this, we share the beliefs of Fyodor Dostoyevsky; Humanity is beautiful and should be preserved despite it's many flaws, and that Dazai Osamu is a slut-faced hoebag.

I'm [religion], can I still be a Fyodorist?

Anybody can be a Fyodorist.
The theological beliefs of Fyodorism are meant to share his joy and power with the world, regardless of who you are or what else you believe in. Plenty of Fyodorists are subscribed to another religion whilst worshipping Fyodor, it's not something that has to be mutually exclusive.
However, if you're currently a Scientologist and reading this- I strongly suggest you stop right now and contact a physician, therapist, and your bank. ASAP.

Gay/Trans Rights?

The Church of Fyodor supports LGBTQ+ rights, as well as LGBTQ+ wrongs.
Looking down on another human being for something they cannot change is a symbol of the evil which has infected humanity, an evil that fyodor does not believe in.
One cannot be a Fyodorist and a Bigot.

Wait, is this about the 19th century Russian novelist, Fyodor Dostoyevsky?

Common misconception! We're talking about the anime twink.
Many Fyodorists do enjoy Dostoyevsky's works. Mod Cervus is currently reading House of The Dead and is thouroughly enjoying it.
